# Testing

### **Testing**

To ensure a smooth integration before going live, RouteLift provides a **sandbox environment** for testing API requests. This allows you to simulate real delivery operations without affecting production data.

#### **Sandbox Base URL**

```
https://sandbox-integrations.routelift.com
```

***

#### **Using Test API Keys**

Use API keys specifically created for the test environment. You can generate these keys from your **RouteLift Partner Dashboard** under:

```
Settings → API Keys & Webhooks
```

Only requests authenticated with **test keys** will be accepted by the sandbox environment.

***

#### **Simulated Deliveries**

* You can create, track, and update deliveries just like in the live environment.
* Webhooks will be triggered automatically, simulating real-time updates.
* No real pickups or driver assignments will occur.
* Pricing calculations and validations will still run based on live logic.

***

#### **Testing Scenarios to Try**

* Creating deliveries with different package sizes and locations
* Simulating failed deliveries
* Receiving webhook events for various delivery statuses
* Estimating prices for scheduled pickups

***

#### **Notes**

* Always verify you're using the **sandbox base URL** for testing.
* Production keys **will not work** in the sandbox.
* No real deliveries will be triggered from sandbox requests.
