# Environments

RouteLift provides two environments to support your integration and ensure secure operations:

#### Test Environment

* Used for development and testing.
* Access all API endpoints with your **test API key** from the partner dashboard.
* Base URL:

  ```
  https://sandbox-integrations.routelift.com
  ```

#### Live Environment

* Dedicated to real-time, production operations.
* Use your **live API key** from the partner dashboard to access.
* Base URL:

  ```
  https://integrations.routelift.com
  ```

***

#### Switching Between Environments

* Use the appropriate **API key** (test or live) to authenticate requests.
* Ensure your requests are pointed to the matching base URL.
* Requests with a test key to the live URL or vice versa will fail authentication.

***

Use this pattern for API calls:

```
{Base URL}/v1/{endpoint}
```

***

Let me know if you want me to add examples for making requests in each environment.
